Pentax K-x
This is really a sexy 12.4MP SLR camera. First, because it is small, perfectly suited for ladies small hands and more compact bags. Second because it is available in blue, white and red over black, breaking the "seriousness" side of this type of device. Finally, because it can be bought for only 550 euros, making it one the cheapest latest generation SLR cameras in the market.
Easy to get 1 600 or even 3 200 ISO to shoot portraits indoors and capture scenes without flash, above - 6400 and 12 800 ISo - image is very dirty, as usualy happens with the competition. In devices for less than 600 euros, burst mode is generally limited to 3 or 3.5 frames per second, but with this camera, you can achieve 4.5 frames per second in JPEG mode, for a total of 15 images. This applies to JPEG, but this is less true RAW: buffer is not able to collect more than 5 pictures in one burst.
Being small and well packed, the Kx adapts more readily to small hands. This can have not much significant impact on occasional use, this may be more important for the serial shooters.
Most manufacturers deliver rechargeable batteries, but Pentax prefers customers to use four batteries LR06 (AA). This comes cheaper since it is more economic to buy a charger and four batteries. And this form of energy source has the advantage of enabling use in remote places, where electrical sources are rare, but this type of battery longs less.
As for the video, it is regrettable that this K-x it is so inefficient and it is deprived of autofocus. But for the price, we can not shout about it.
With a minimum price and color it is, for beginners, one, if not THE entry-level reflex of choice.
